Miami's 27 win streak comes to an end

Tonight was a disappoint night for Miami Heat fans. Miami’s 27 game winning streak has come to an end by the hands of the Chicago Bulls. This was a much needed win for the Bulls as the regular season is near the end. With this win it puts them in a good position confidence wise going into the playoffs. Down two of their star players for tonight’s game they were able to pull off a win. They have done what 27 teams have been trying to do which is gave Miami a loss.

For the first half there was a lot of bodying and aggression coming from the Bulls. They played hard and made The Heat work from the start all the way through. Closing out the first half the bulls led 55-46.Going into the third the Heat came out hard stepping up their game out scoring the bulls 22-14. They were able to get their first lead of the game, but that would not last too long. Right when you thought the Heat might be able to pull away, the Bulls came right back to silence the Heat fans. They made it known that tonight’s game would not be easy.

Later in the game James was hit pretty hard as he drove to the hoop. He was pulled down by two of the Bulls players. There was a flagrant foul called, but after the refs checked the reply they ruled it a personal foul. James frustrated and upset about the call had retaliated to it. The next play Boozer went to set a pick on James. Lebron saw it coming and threw his body into Boozer. The refs called a flagrant foul. After checking the reply, the call stuck and Boozer got two free free-throws. As the game progressed, the Heat could not find their rhythm. They tried everything to battle back but this team just could not come up with another win.

After the game the Heat did not show sportsmanship by leaving the courts without congratulating the Bulls in their win tonight. Signs of disappointment over took their face as all their faces did not looked too pleased. You cannot really blame them since there was a lot of emotion riding on this game and a chance to make another piece of NBA history.

Heat fans should be sad but also happy at the same time about this loss. It kind of took you back to the first year the big three played together in the NBA finals and came up short to Dallas. It was the same type of energy from that game you saw tonight after the loss. With this loss, it will take Miami into the playoffs with something else on their minds. It will also keep them humble and focused. Had they passed the all-time NBA record it is a possibility that it would have got to their heads and they would have lost focus come playoff time. Something that happened to San Antonio spurs last year. Miami will be the team to beat in the playoffs. Had Miami gone to beat the record, would it have affected their playoff run? Will this loss make Miami that much more hungry come playoff time?

Who Will Finish with the Best Record? Who will be that team to Win It all?

This season in the NBA it is coming down to five teams with the best record in the regular season. Miami Heat has been on a rampage tearing up the NBA with a 20 game winning streak. Who will be the team to put out the flames? They have been able to battle back for wins and able to close in overtime. It seems like whatever this team faces, they are able to get it together and find a way to get it done. You just cannot count this team out.  In the Eastern Conference the heat lead it with a record of 49 wins 14 loses followed by Indian Pacers 40 wins and 24 Loses.

In the western Conference, San Antonio is holding on to the number one spot with a record of 50 wins and 16 losses followed by Oklahoma City 48 wins 17 losses. Although it looks as if the Spurs will be that team to beat in the playoffs, we all saw the spurs in control of the regular season and some of the playoffs until matched with OKC last season.  They had 20 game winning streak to only have it snapped and lose the series to OKC.

When it comes to OKC you cannot count them out. This young squad will probably be the team to beat in the Playoffs.  They bring speed and a lot of young talent. Any team they face will have to gain control of the game bringing it to their pace. Once OKC plays at their pace, the game may result in a blowout.  They will also need to control Durant and Westbrook.  If these two get hot (on their game) it is very challenging to cool them down. They are able to put up some big numbers once they get going.

Memphis has shot into the 3rd spot in the Western Conference standings putting the  L.A. Clippers in the 4th spot. Denver is not that far off from the Clippers 4th spot. Will the Clippers be able to maintain being anywhere in the top three or fourth spot? Will Chris Paul and the Monster Blake Griffin be able to bring this team to the playoffs and get them a championship ring?

Who will be the teams to finish off in the top spots in the regular season stands? Although it does not mean that the number one team will win the NBA finals, it will surely gives them a good spot in the playoffs with home court advantage. Will Miami Heat’s Bosh, Wade and Lebron be able to pull of a back-to-back championship or will OKC Thunder’s Durant and WestBrook have what it takes to avenge last season?  Will either of these teams be back into the finalls to play for the NBA championship? Who will take it all?
