The first week of the Major League Baseball
spring training has just completed and it’s been an interesting one. Looking at
the leaders of spring training so far this year, Kansas City Royals and
Colorado Rockies we can see a difference. The Royals are undefeated so far in
and the Rockies are sitting at a .714 W/L ratio. Of course spring training
can’t really tell us how the regular season will go, we can try to forecast
what will happen.
Although looking at the 2012 Spring Training compared to the regular season the difference is quite different. In
the American League in 2012 our team here at SGL, the Toronto Blue Jays
finished first in spring training. However, we ended up finishing 10th
overall in the Regular Season, so anything can happen. Here are the spring training standings
for the American and National Leagues so far:
