The State of the NBA

Who Will Finish with the Best Record? Who will be that team to Win It all?

This season in the NBA it is coming down to five teams with the best record in the regular season. Miami Heat has been on a rampage tearing up the NBA with a 20 game winning streak. Who will be the team to put out the flames? They have been able to battle back for wins and able to close in overtime. It seems like whatever this team faces, they are able to get it together and find a way to get it done. You just cannot count this team out.  In the Eastern Conference the heat lead it with a record of 49 wins 14 loses followed by Indian Pacers 40 wins and 24 Loses.

In the western Conference, San Antonio is holding on to the number one spot with a record of 50 wins and 16 losses followed by Oklahoma City 48 wins 17 losses. Although it looks as if the Spurs will be that team to beat in the playoffs, we all saw the spurs in control of the regular season and some of the playoffs until matched with OKC last season.  They had 20 game winning streak to only have it snapped and lose the series to OKC.

When it comes to OKC you cannot count them out. This young squad will probably be the team to beat in the Playoffs.  They bring speed and a lot of young talent. Any team they face will have to gain control of the game bringing it to their pace. Once OKC plays at their pace, the game may result in a blowout.  They will also need to control Durant and Westbrook.  If these two get hot (on their game) it is very challenging to cool them down. They are able to put up some big numbers once they get going.

Memphis has shot into the 3rd spot in the Western Conference standings putting the  L.A. Clippers in the 4th spot. Denver is not that far off from the Clippers 4th spot. Will the Clippers be able to maintain being anywhere in the top three or fourth spot? Will Chris Paul and the Monster Blake Griffin be able to bring this team to the playoffs and get them a championship ring?

Who will be the teams to finish off in the top spots in the regular season stands? Although it does not mean that the number one team will win the NBA finals, it will surely gives them a good spot in the playoffs with home court advantage. Will Miami Heat’s Bosh, Wade and Lebron be able to pull of a back-to-back championship or will OKC Thunder’s Durant and WestBrook have what it takes to avenge last season?  Will either of these teams be back into the finalls to play for the NBA championship? Who will take it all?
