We know the football seasons come and gone, and Sundays are just not the same without football. So we've compiled a list of some of the best football movies of all time that you can kick back and relax to on Sunday. Mind you this isn't all, but just some of the best.
This is probably one of Adam Sanders funniest performances. It follows Sandler's character "Bobby Boucher" a stuttering water boy who's unique ability for tackling when upset leads the coach of South Central Louisiana State University "Coach Klien" to bring him onto the team. Bobby's mother forbids him to play and date girls as they are "The Devil", he secretly does both as he meets a girl "Vikki" whom he has his first relationship with. Other notable actors/actresses in this film are Kathy Bates and Henry Winkler.

Based on the true story of an African American football coach Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) who is hired to coach T.C. Williams High school football team after Bill Yoast the former coach decides to move on with his career. In the segregated city of white and black culture the white players on the team attempt to stop the new "black" coach from running the team. Coach Boone then asks former coach Yoast to join on as an assistant coach to prevent further backlash. The story follows the players of different skin tones become one team and one family.
The Longest Yard (1974 & 2005)
Both of these films feature the same plot with Burty Reynolds reprising the role or Paul Crewe in the 1974 film and Adam Sandler with the role in the 2005 remake. It follows an ex football quarter back who is forced to create a team of inmates to play against the guards in order to help the guards become a better team. Both films are a definite watch.

This movie follows the true life events of Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher's journey to the pros. After being homeless and orphaned young man who is taken in by a kind couple and raised as part of their family. The family introduce him to football and he shines on the field. The movie follows Oher's journey from homeless to becoming the first round draft pick in 2009.

You'll recognize the guy in this movie as Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings. Rudy follows the journey of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger's journey to play college football despite his small size. The movie is centered around all his hurdles trying to play for Notre Dame. Definitely a classic and a very motivational football movie.
