After two consecutive games of Miami down by the half, they have been able to battle back and keep their win streak alive. In Boston, Heat were down 59-47 by the half and came back to win it 105-103 to keep them in the hunt for the number one longest NBA record. They are currently ranked with the number two longest win streak in NBA.

March 20, 2013 the Heat took on the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was a game that surely scared heat fans. The first quarter ended with Cleveland up by eight. The second quarter did not look pretty for the Heat as they couldn’t by a bucket even if they paid. They got man handled and out scored 23 to 10. Once again, the Heat were down by half this time with a score 55 – 34. It is unknown how the Heat does it, but when the second half started it was all Heat. They battled back out scoring the Cavaliers by eight in the third and 12 in the fourth to come back and win the ball game 98 – 95 to keep their streak at 24 games.

Friday the Heats took on Detroit at home. So far this season the Heat has only lost three times at home. They hold an at home record 31 – 3. Taking on the Piston head on, Heat was only down by three at the half. During the rest of the game Heat out played, hustled, and ran the game out scoring Detroit in every quarter since the half on ward. With less than six minutes to play, Bosh who had a frustrating game scored and made a three point play which gave the Heat a 14 point lead. After the final buzzer, the Heat won 103 – 89 over Detroit to extend their win streak to 25 games. L. James finished with 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. D. Wade finished with 19 points. Chalmers and Battier both contributed to the win with 11 points each and Cole with 10 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. The Heat are now eight games short of the all-time longest NBA win streak record which is held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. It is undeniable that the Heats are on their way to making history, but will they be able to keep this run going? If they do tie the all-time record held by the 71-72 Laker of 33 games in a row won during the regular season, will they be able to keep the streak going?

Will the Charlotte Bobcats be able to bring the streak to a close tonight?
