Ever worry that robots may one day rise up and fight against the human race? Worry no longer because one day we will all be our own kind of robot with the Myo Gesture Control Armband from Thalmic Labs. Sure the Google Glass looked cool because we can tell a pair of shades to text and take pictures for us, but now we have the ability to control all different forms of technology by hand, finger and arm gestures.
Using the unique developed technique called electromyography, which measures the electrical impulses produced by your muscles when you move them, the band will transfer muscle movements into a digital command for your computer, tablet or mobile device through a bluetooth 4.0 signal. Since most of use our pointer finger to "point" and control our muscle communications the band has been programmed to be most effective through your index finger and while waving your hand but then eventually learns your muscle reactions and natural hand gestures.
Although this concept may seem a bit "geeky" or might only interest the core technology enthusiasts we think this product may actually catch on. If you agree then you can get one because pre order starts today. What do you think? Leave a comment below.
